Agra Airport (AGR) serves Agra in Uttar Pradesh and sits about 10 km west of Agra city. The Airports Authority of India (AAI) also calls it Kheria Airport, and the passenger terminal is the Civil Air Terminal Kheria.

For domestic flights, IndiGo's check-in counters close 60 minutes before the scheduled departure and its boarding gates close 25 minutes before departure. IndiGo recommends reaching the airport at least 2 hours before departure, and it reserves the right to cancel the booking of a passenger who misses the check-in or boarding gate closing time.

IndiGo's baggage policy allows one cabin bag of up to 7 kg and 55 x 35 x 25 cm, plus one personal article of up to 3 kg, such as a purse or a small bag containing a laptop. The free checked allowance depends on the fare.
A Lite fare, or a similar promotional fare, includes no checked baggage; it can be added for a charge, including at the airport check-in counter before the counters close. IndiGo says the most accurate details for your flight are on your booking confirmation and ticket, so check those before you pack.
Children and pregnancy on IndiGo
IndiGo carries infants above 3 days and under 2 years old on the date of travel, on an adult's lap, one infant per adult. Proof of age is needed at check-in, such as a birth certificate, the mother's hospital discharge summary, a vaccination certificate or a passport.
A child under 5 must travel with someone over 18. From 5 to 12 a child travels with a companion aged 18 or over or on IndiGo's Flying Solo service, and from 13 to 18 a minor can travel alone or use Flying Solo.
IndiGo sets limits on flying in pregnancy by week and by type of pregnancy, and asks for a fit-to-fly certificate from the obstetrician in the later weeks, so check its rules before you book.
IndiGo delays and cancellations
IndiGo says that if it delays a flight by more than 2 hours or brings it forward by more than 1 hour, customers are entitled to a full refund or rebooking onto an alternative IndiGo flight at no additional cost, subject to availability. IndiGo says compensation for a cancellation or delay is processed under the rules of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), and that a passenger who gave no valid contact details at booking may not be entitled to it. IndiGo's conditions of carriage say that on unconnected flight segments it is not responsible if a customer misses the flight to the final destination because of a delay to the IndiGo flight, and that it provides no compensation or facility in that case.

Taj Mahal opening days and hours
According to the official Taj Mahal website of the Department of Tourism, Government of Uttar Pradesh, the Taj Mahal opens 30 minutes before sunrise and closes 30 minutes before sunset on normal operating days. It is closed on Fridays for general viewing, so a visit planned for the morning after a Thursday arrival needs another day.
Tickets are sold at the Western and Eastern gates and online. The Southern gate is exit only at present, so check the site before you go.

Identity documents and cabin baggage rules
Carry an original photo identity document with your ticket. A passport, Aadhaar or m-Aadhaar, a voter photo identity card and a driving licence are among the documents on the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) list. Airlines may ask for more, and a foreign national should ask the airline which document it accepts for a domestic flight.
Under the CISF's restricted-articles list, liquids, aerosols and gels in cabin baggage go in containers of up to 100 ml each, packed in one clear, resealable one-litre plastic bag. Medicine or an inhaler accompanied by a prescription, and baby food, are exceptions.
IndiGo allows power banks and spare lithium batteries in hand baggage only, and says they must not be used, charged or recharged during the flight. A DGCA circular dated 11 November 2025 says power banks and spare batteries are to be carried in hand baggage only and not placed in overhead bins, and that using or charging power banks is not allowed during flight. Ask IndiGo about any limit on their size or number.
Your rights when flights are disrupted
Keep your contact details on your booking up to date. The DGCA's Civil Aviation Requirement (CAR) Section 3, Series M, Part IV, Revision 4, dated 25 January 2023 and effective from 15 February 2023, sets out what airlines provide when a flight is delayed or cancelled, or a passenger is denied boarding. Check dgca.gov.in for a later revision, and IndiGo's current rules, before you rely on them.
If you checked in on time, the airline provides meals and refreshments during a long delay, at thresholds that depend on the flight's length. For a total delay of more than 24 hours, or more than 6 hours on a flight scheduled between 2000 and 0300 hours, the CAR also provides for hotel accommodation when necessary, including transfers. The airline does not have to provide meals or hotel accommodation where the delay is caused by extraordinary circumstances that could not have been avoided even if all reasonable measures had been taken.
A passenger not told of a cancellation in time is offered either an alternate flight, or compensation under the DGCA's rules together with a full refund. Compensation is not due to a passenger who gave the airline no email address or phone number at booking, or where the cancellation is caused by extraordinary circumstances.
The CAR also says airlines are not liable for compensation for cancellations and delays clearly attributable to air traffic control, meteorological conditions or security risks. You can complain to the airline, file a grievance on the Air Sewa app or portal, or go to a statutory body or court.
